American Express offers a full line up of 14 business credit cards, along with other business credit vehicles like their Working Capital Program and Business Loan Program. If you are running a business or thinking of starting a business, positioning yourself to get business credit cards and funding products from American Express is a great idea!
There isn’t a pre-qualification page for American Express that currently works, this is the old prequalification link (in case it works again). American Express also offers Corporate charge cards that work off your bank account balance and let you spend based on that. You can learn more here.
Once you are a business card holder (any card) for 6 months or more, you will qualify for the Working Capital program and after 12 months of business card account history, you may qualify for their Business Loan program. If you get approved for the Gold or Platinum “no set spending limit” cards, then you will have immediate access to the above mentioned programs.
Lastly, remember that business credit does NOT report to your personal consumer report unless you default so you don’t have to worry about utilization rates.

American Express Business pulls Experian and SBFE and reports to SBFE and D&B picks up the data as well. Remember you can get 10 charge cards and 4 credit cards total with American Express on the consumer and business side. Average credit score is a 660.
